(AP) — The Air Force Academy says Brig. Gen. Dana Born, the dean of faculty, is retiring. Academy spokesman Lt. Col. John Bryan said Thursday that Born will step down next summer. Born has been in charge of the faculty at the school since October 2004. She is a 1983 graduate of the academy and was a professor at the school for two years before that. She received a doctorate in psychology from Penn State in 1994. The academy has about 4,000 students and is located just outside Colorado Springs. (© Copyright 2012 The Associated Press.
