CBS Denver: Man Arrested In Connection With Cold Case Murder In Denver Nov 5th 2012, 00:28 CBS Denver CBSDenver.com - News for Colorado and Denver from CBS4, plus Sports, Weather, Traffic and Top Spots Man Arrested In Connection With Cold Case Murder In Denver Nov 5th 2012, 00:27 DENVER (CBS4) – A man has been formally charged in a connection with a murder that occurred nearly a year ago. Lynn Kimbrough with the district attorney’s office said the charge is the result of work by the Denver Cold Case Project. Alfred Flores, 40, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder. The body of 27-year-old Manuel Martinez was found on Nov. 27, 2011, in the 2200 block of South Platte River Drive. “He had been shot in the head, and his body had been left on the road. The charge alleges that Flores shot the victim sometime late on Nov. 26, 2011 or early on Nov. 27, 2011, following an altercation,” Kimbrough said in a statement. “A car suspected of being used during the murder was set on fire and was found later that day in Clear Creek Canyon.” Flores was arrested on Oct. 30.
