NOW BOARDING: THE ARCHITECTURE OF FLIGHT

DENVER ART MUSEUM

Great airport architecture is explored in a fascinating exhibit. My only question is, how can they look so beautiful and friendly on paper and then be so frustrating in reality? It’s just like the people who convince you to take out a home loan with their company. Oh, they’re SOOOOO nice when you’re signing up … you know the rest.

HUDSON GARDENS

Hudson Gardens has announced its summer schedule, featuring everything from Heart and Joe Walsh to Chris Daniels and Lee Greenwood. Check out the whole schedule at HudsonGardens.org.

DENVER MUSEUM OF NATURE AND SCIENCE

CITY PARK

Once of the great treats of Denver! Explore Prehistoric Journey and Outer Space all in one visit and all at a great price. New, temporary exhibits are always on the way. The NEXT TEMPORARY EXHIBIT is A Day in Pompeii, a multi-media journey through the destruction of the city in 79 CE. Opens September 14. Timed tickets. You’ve just gotta see this!

Set back in a neighborhood, it’s a nifty little museum with a lot of antiques. From dolls to trains to a complete miniature circus. Wonderful to see and enjoy.

WINGS OVER THE ROCKIES MUSEUM Lowry Neighborhood $9 Adults/$6 Kids

A great experience for anyone who loves aviation in all its many forms. Airplanes, rockets and spacecraft about. They’ve even got an F-86 Sabre. Once I find an engine for it — it’s outta there! So’s the Apollo Command Module boilerplate. Find me a scrap Saturn 5 and I’m gone!

FORNEY MUSEUM OF TRANSPORTATION I-70 & Brighton All sorts of great vehicles on display from gigantic locomotives to a teeny tiny Messerschmitt Tiger. Love those cars.
