CBS Denver: Hearings Scheduled On Proposed Uranium Mill Aug 8th 2012, 03:20 CBS Denver CBSDenver.com - News for Colorado and Denver from CBS4, plus Sports, Weather, Traffic and Top Spots Hearings Scheduled On Proposed Uranium Mill Aug 7th 2012, 23:17 DENVER (AP) – Public hearings are scheduled this fall on a company’s license application for the proposed Pinon Ridge uranium mill in western Colorado. A unit of the state health department had approved a radioactive materials license for Energy Fuels Corp. to operate the proposed mill, but a judge this year invalidated the license, saying the state should’ve held a formal administrative hearing first. State health officials say a hearing on Energy Fuels’ application is scheduled to begin Oct. 15 in Nucla. It is scheduled to reconvene starting Nov. 7. People who believe they may be affected by the proposed mill can seek to be a party to the hearing. The deadline to seek party status is Sept. 25.
