DENVER (CBS4)- Andre Iguodala is an All Star and an Olympian and now he’s about to come to become a member of the Denver Nuggets.
76ers forward Iguodala is a key part of a four team blockbuster trade involving eight players with Orlando, Philadelphia and the Los Angeles Lakers.
To facilitate the trade the Nuggets sent guard Arron Afflalo and Al Harrington and a 2014 draft pick to the Orlando Magic.
The four team deal was necessary for Orlando to meet center Dwight Howard’s request to be traded to a contender. Howard had initially requested to be traded to the Brooklyn Nets but the two teams could not reach a deal.
The Lakers began aggressive negotiations earlier this week to find a way to sign Howard, the NBA’s most coveted center.
A conference call was set up for Friday involving team representatives and league officials. Teams are required to get league approval once they have agreed upon the terms of a deal.
